Scarab rings from this era are all set with drilled beads. Some of these beads are ancient (hailing from Egypt) and some are reproductions dating to the 1920s. There aresimilarscarab beads still being made today, but they do not compare with the old stuff. This lovely scarabis guaranteed to date to the Art Deco era, butwe believe it is older. Faience is aceramic materialmade with quartz.
Condition is wonderful; the twisted rope border is complete and uninterrupted, though the head-on photo makes itappear as if a spot is missing.
